This classic Hohner Gaelic 96 Bass Accordion, most likely dating from the 1970's, is a rare and sought after model which was especially designed for traditional Scottish and Irish music with four sets of treble reeds which are tuned to a four voice musette for that typical Scottish sound. The three rows of treble buttons are diatonic (two different notes per button depending on bellows direction) and the insturmnt is tuned to B/C/C#. The 96 left hand buttons are 'Stradella' system  -  the same as most piano accordions. This particular instrument has been well looked after by it's previous owner and is finished in an attractive pearl red casework.
