Terms & Conditions

The Accordion Shop

Last updated: Aug 2026

1. Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Our guarantees are provided in addition to, and do not replace or restrict, those rights.

2. Accordion Guarantees
New accordions include a guarantee of between 1 and 5 years, as stated at the time of purchase, covering faults arising from defective parts or workmanship.

Electronic components, including microphones and MIDI systems, are guaranteed for 6 months from the date of purchase.

Used accordions include a guarantee of between 1 and 3 years, as stated at the time of purchase, covering defective parts and workmanship. The age, price, description and condition of a used instrument will be taken into account when assessing its condition.

Our voluntary guarantees do not cover:
● normal wear and tear;
● routine tuning or maintenance;
● accidental damage, misuse, neglect or careless handling;
● faults or damage caused by unauthorised alterations or repairs; or
● damage to reeds or other components resulting from misuse, wear or external damage.

Electronic components in used accordions are not covered by our voluntary guarantee unless expressly stated otherwise.

Clearance or “sold as seen” instruments do not include our voluntary guarantee. Any known faults will be identified where reasonably possible before purchase. This does not affect any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Our voluntary accordion guarantees apply to the original purchaser, are non-transferable and apply to customers resident in the UK.

For claims made under our voluntary guarantee, carriage costs are the customer's responsibility unless we agree otherwise. Where you are exercising a statutory right in relation to faulty goods, we will meet any return or transport costs that we are required to pay by law.

3. Faulty or Damaged Goods
If an item arrives damaged, faulty, not as described or otherwise does not meet your statutory rights, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible by telephone or email.

Depending on the circumstances and your legal rights, the appropriate remedy may include a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.

Please retain the packaging where reasonably possible, particularly where an item needs to be transported safely. Failure to retain the original packaging does not, by itself, remove your statutory rights.

4. Cancellations and Returns
For purchases made online, by telephone or by mail order, consumers normally have the right to cancel their order within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason.

You must tell us clearly that you wish to cancel. Once you have notified us, the goods should normally be returned within a further 14 days.

Unless the goods are faulty or we agree otherwise, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning goods following a change-of-mind cancellation.

Goods may be inspected as they would be in a shop. We may make a lawful deduction from the refund where handling beyond what is reasonably necessary has reduced their value.

Where cancellation rights apply, we will refund the purchase price together with the cost of our standard delivery service in accordance with applicable law.

The statutory right to cancel may not apply to goods that are made to your specifications or clearly personalised, including certain bespoke accordion orders.

For purchases made in person at our premises, there is no automatic right to return an item simply because you have changed your mind, although your rights relating to faulty or misdescribed goods remain unaffected.

5. Prices and Specifications
We take reasonable care to ensure that prices and product information on our website are accurate. If we discover an error before accepting your order, we will contact you and give you the opportunity to proceed at the correct price or cancel the order.

We are not required to accept an order at an obviously incorrect price.

Prices for bespoke or made-to-order accordions may depend on the final specification, optional extras, shipping costs and applicable exchange rates. Any applicable pricing basis or material price change will be communicated before it becomes binding on you.

We may change website prices and product specifications from time to time. Changes will not affect an order already accepted by us unless agreed with you or permitted by law.

6. Payment
We accept payment by most major credit and debit cards and by bank transfer.

International payments must be made by bank transfer or card payment in Pounds Sterling (GBP).

For international orders, the customer is responsible for delivery costs, applicable import duties, customs charges, local taxes or similar charges imposed by the destination country.

7. General
These Terms & Conditions should be read together with any product-specific information provided at the time of purchase.

Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude, restrict or override any consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
