Made in Castelfidardo, Italy.

Young Paolo Soprani's interest in reed instruments began in 1863 when he was given an early instrument which fascinated him. He began making accordions in a workshop at his parent's home in 1864. In 1872 he opened an impressive accordion factory in the centre of Castelfidardo, & eventually became Mayor of the town. Many of his former workers, including his brother, Settimio opened their own workshops producing accordions to satisfy the rapidly increasing demand for the instrument.

We also stock a range of brand new Paolo Soprani accordions.
